super EXPENSIVE, super RUDE. There are plenty of other towing services in the Santa Cruz area that do a much better job for a FAR lower price. BEWARE ($195/hr on a light-duty vehicle just like the one in your driveway or in front of your business) and that's not even the heavy-duty rate!! Competitors: $70-80 for same vehicle/same distance. Do the math and spare yourself the attitude as well!! You can see the attitude in their response to another customer below. Lecturing customers, great way to stay in business! Yet another reason to avoid these folks at all costs. Go to a business that knows that staying friendly, staying professional makes you more money in the long run.

response to 2005 complaint. we do not release items to non registered and or legal owners due to certain laws and t o protect the items of that registered owner . we do give you permission if you have a notarized letter. it might be an inconvenience we understand but we have to follow the rules. and for someone to write a bad review is just awful on their part.

BEWARE OF THESE THEIVES!!!. I am going to every website I can find that will let me review this awful company. My story is true, and I really hope anyone who reads it will never do business with this awful place.

In December of 2005 I drove north to visit family, sadly I totaled my car, and unfortunately bay city tow was there at the scene. I was taken in the ambulance and was not able to clear out my valuables. I went to bay city tow the next day to clean out my car as it was totaled so I could not drive it home. My mother was the owner of the car and since I was away from her and home they would not let me near the car. Finally after my mom faxed over documents (after I had to leave for home) my cousin was able to go in my car and claim my things, well my things were gone!!! Including a 1200 dollar sound system and 300 dollar necklace that was in a package getting ready to be mailed to the manufacture to be cleaned. Employees at bay city tow had stolen my expensive personal items! Or they had left my car open to be robbed. Bay city tow did nothing, nor did the police. I urge you to beware of getting your car towed by these thieves!!! As they have probably stolen from many people.
