Fabulous salon, nice stylists. Both my husband and I go to Aaron Neff at Urban Groove and love the cuts we get. Aaron recently did my color, and did a great job with that, too. We both find him personable and enjoy chatting with him while he works. Love this place.

Aaron Neff is rude..... Aaron Neff is a rude stylist and I would not go to him if I were you.

Nice cut - good color. Aaron fixed my nasty roots..and I came in as a drop-in! I got a great haircut from him a week later (and received tons of compliments.) Have gone back. Relaxing airy salon, located right next to the Harbor Cafe, and has art exhibits on the wall. Worth the price - for me, the highlights, cut, styling, blowdry, etc cost $140. Worth it!

Great salon, hands down.. Go see Shiloh at Urban Groove. Very talented, no B.S. and very professional. Has fixed numerous home hair color experiments I've done to myself and simply does great hair. Urban Groove is the ONE salon I've settled on after numerous forays into other "fabulous" salons around Santa Cruz.( I've had enough prima donna attitude to last me a long time, thank you very much.) Everyone at Urban Groove has always been super nice to me and very courteous. I also enjoy the fact that I'm not pressured into buying product every time I'm there. How refreshing! If you want product, great, if not, have a wonderful day and I'll see you next time. No matter where you go, take a picture (or pictures) with you. Trying to describe with words what you want visually will rarely give you the results you want.... a picture IS worth a thousand words.

I Love My Hair!!. I have been going to Urban Groove for 5 years, and I have always loved my hair!!! Gina is fantastic!!! Everyone is always so upbeat and friendly. I highly recommend to check out this salon.

They do not even deserve a star!!!. I went to the owner thinking she would know what she was doing. I paid 200+ My hair looked HORRIBLE!!

BAD CUT BAD BAD BAD COLOR. They are very rude there and make you feel very uncomfortable. My advice go somewhere else!!

Stylist who can do it all... Color, Cut, and Style!!!!!!!. I moved from LA to Santa Cruz and needed a new stylist. I saw a girl down town with a really cute haircut and she told me Lori Ann at Urban Groove Salon did her hair. I went to Lori Ann and I have to say that my hair looks better than it ever has. I've been to the best salons in Beverly Hills and was never as happy as I am with my hair now. The people were friendly in the salon and it was easy to make an apt. She charged me $150.00 for a highlight, cut, and style/dry. It was worth every penny!! I've gone back to her 3 other times, and every time she makes me look like a movie star!!!! I highly recommend Urban Groove salon.

Less Than Expected. Urban Groove had the best price estimate for my head full or highlights, but the result was a little less than expected.

I brought Jenny a picture of almost exactly what I wanted. She spent 1 and a half to 2 hours on my hair and I walked out with what looked like 1/18th of what I had wanted.

The highlights were the size of a toothpick when I had asked for CHUNKY.

I paid $95 dollars for something I did better myself when I got home with a self-bleaching kit.

U gotta go there. I moved from LA and it was so hard to find a good salon in Santa Cruz area.

I finally found Urban Groove and I am very satisfied.

FYI, I had an haircut with VIda.

No Complaints here - Thanks for the great cut Andi. I am not experienced when it comes to going to salons for haircuts... when I decided to start at 26 years old (instead of begging family members for a trim) I asked EVERYBODY where to go. I decided on Urban Groove because my friend Amanda's hair looked spectacular after an appointment with Andi...really just stunning; perfect cut for her face - she was glowing. (and she's not the type to be high maintenance -same as me).

I made an appointment back in January - was able to get in the same week!, loved the cut, was surprisingly comfortable with the salon atmosphere and have been promising myself another cut. Just read the other reviews and figured that if I am confident go back this Friday - I should say so. Go to Andi - she is really great.
