Great Customer Service, Like A Home Away From Home With Coffee!. The Ugly Mug is a gem at the heart of Soquel village. The staff is always friendly and remember their regulars' by their drink orders. The cafe is warm and welcoming and full of interesting characters. Steve, the owner takes special pride in his espresso bar and trains the baristas accordingly. Plenty of tables and wireless make it a good spot to set up your laptop, but leave your attitude at the door!
