look cool on a date. This place is a cool little place, the food is realy good, yes it is not the best i have ever had, but bang for the buck it is great! if you want a more stodgy triditional place head up the road towards the mall and go to takara. But if you want a fun date in a really cool place head here then go down portola and hit bars, errr i ment the beach.

Try the weekend!!!. The owner, Mitsu works on the weekend and he is the master of cheif. Try to sit in front of him and ask for recommendations. If you want to eat Chicken Teriyaki, California Roll sort of Ameican Japanese food. Just grab the table for comfort. :) Sushi bar is little too tight and not very comfortable. Very reasonable price.

Best sushi around. I've been to all the sushi places around here numerous times and Pink Godzilla gets my vote! The food is always delicious and the prices are reasonable. It's got a casual feel and if you get a chance, sit in one of the rooms! It's great for parties. Waitresses and service have also been great, I definitely recommend it.

I get the feeling.... ...that Pink Godzilla used to really be something. From the fun name, to the knick knacks, the tshirts and the tatami rooms. I've also heard that they used to have a killer "surfer special" that included lots of cheap, good sushi. I went here with a longtime SC resident and I really wanted to love the place. By his description, I was very excited but, unfortunatly it seems like it's kinda gone downhill. It's not terrible, but it's a bit dingy inside and the waitress we had was nice enough but not very knowledgable about the menu. The gyoza was very good, as were a few of the rolls, but I just wasn't especially impressed. I will say that their maguro was excellent, though. They do have unfiltered sake, which is a plus, but honestly I like Mobo Sushi a lot better.

Pink Godzilla? Good?. Pink Godzilla is the worst sushi restaurant i have been to. the food was poor and was very stumach-wrenching, the service was slow and poor.

Tatami Hardy. Maybe it's that I've become somewhat of a sushi snob in year's since I really first enjoyed this place, but I'm not as big a fan of the food as I used to be. However, I still go there for there always fun Tatami rooms and the festive atmosphere. In these respects, Pink Godzilla can't be beat.
