The place is situated by a yatch harbor and we sat on the deck with the warm summer sun on our faces. We ordered from the seafood menu and the mahi-mahi melted in my mouth with the special rice they served. It was a lovely afternoon watching the yatchs and people kayak by. The service and food were great! We had a leisurely Sunday spend at a good eatery with a great view!
Pleasantly Comfortable. I've been a regular diner at Aldos for over 10 years... my grandparents live just up the road and I always look forward to breakfast there and the occasional dinner. The menu is that of an average family owned seafood diner... but it is the great service from all the folks there that make it worth returning too.
plentiful but bland. we ordered the clam chowder and the special-- swordfish in white wine sauce with rice and vegetables. the clam chowder was ok, but was more of a general seafood chowder-- clams were rare. the special came with a huge hunk of swordfish, but we tasted no wine whatsoever. it came with no seasoning at all. the rice was overcooked (how do you overcook uncle ben's rice???). the vegetables, your basic squash/carrot/cauliflower mixture, was also overcooked and had too much margarine. the two bright spots were the salad-- just lettuce, two slices of tomatoes and 3 slices of red onions-- and the house pale ale.
