This hostel is wonderful. Stayed in private room w friends. Loved it. Quiet and green. Really friendly staff w great tips about locale. 2 blocks from beach and walked everywhere. Santa cruz is a offbeat place but this hostel felt like home. (clean too!)

Budget-conscious backpackers lodge at a quaint collection of Victorian cottages located a skipping stones-throw from the beach.. In Short
Forty beds are scattered throughout four historic cottages set amidst gardens blooming with roses and camellias. Guests have access to a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, a small library, fireplace, piano and a collection of games. Bathrooms are shared and there are six beds per dorm. The hostel is closed between 10am and 5pm, but outside lockers are accessible. There is an 11pm curfew.
