Highly, highly recommended!. In my experiences with Well Within I have had exactly the opposite experiences than the last reviewer. I have frequented this spa at least fifty times in the last five years and have been met with superior, friendly customer service! Their pricing is very fair and competitve in comparison to other spas around the Bay Area and their "Zen" like approach to business is blissful. Their open-air spas over looking the Japanese water garden in back are pure Nirvana, always clean and inviting and their Massage Therapist are simply the best I have experienced. I must highly, highly recommend Alexandra...I have been seeing her exclusively now for over four years, she is far more than a Massage Therapist, she is truely a intuitive healer!

Horrible!. If you like rude, unprofessional customer service, then this place is up your alley. Despite its claim to enhance your experience with professional, friendly service, the people at Well Within were not remotely professional or friendly. In addition, they told my friends and I that it would cost us $10/person with our student discount. When we were getting ready to pay and leave, they made us pay $11 and denied that they ever said it was $10! When I called to complain to the spa's manager, she refused to do anything about the way her employees treated me and my friends. So if you like crappy customer service, this spa is the place to be.

Heavenly. Boyfriend took me there last night and it was just lovely. They are open late so we reserved a private outdoor hot tub for 11pm. The weather was perfect and, after a shower and short sauna, we could sit in the tub and alternatively cool off on the deck and benches and look up at the stars. Beautiful, fragrant plants surround you, a Japanese fountain trickles and ambient music plays softly. (Which you can turn off if you wish.) Soothing hot tea, towels and invigorating shower gels and shampoos (for afterward) are provided. They also offer massage and facials. All at reasonable prices. I can't wait to go back.

Got Well?. Well Within is what I miss most about living in Santa Cruz. It's clean, convenient and cost-efficient -- not a combination one finds very easily in the big city. For under $20, you can rent a private area with a combination spa/sauna and Japanese garden view for one hour. No need to to talk to people you have no interest in speaking to. I believe they sell juice, teas and water, which is always nice.
