As good as it gets?!

If you are looking for a "club" in Santa Cruz, this is as good as it gets. The atmosphere gets a little bit better after a few strong drinks, but nothing can disguise the dungeon like bathrooms or the sticky floor! Santa Cruz is in desperate need of a great, clean 20 something venue where people can dance to good music and have great time, gay or straight! I recommend sticking to all the great live music in Santa Cruz, but If you are in the mood to dance drunk on a stage to music then Blue Lagoon is the place.
- Pros: Good club music, cheap or no cover
- Cons: Dirty, thrown together atmosphere

Straightest Gay Bar Ever

Blue Lagoon is a lot of fun. It's a great place to dance, but girls, don't think you're going to get away with not being hit on by typical dance club idiot boys. Blue Lagoon is more gay friendly than gay, so yes there are still straight men who go there to hit on women. In any event, the music is good and the vibe is generally pretty fun.
