Letter to Casablanca, Wow, Great Party! Many Thanks again. So classy, so delicious, so abundant and exquisite! We are very grateful for the enthusiasm and artistry with which you made our vision a reality. My personal favorites were the spicy shrimp and the clam chowder. Oh, and the cheese with candied walnuts...yummy EVERYTHING! Was impressed and excited by the food. The level of service was also amazing, and we especially appreciated the warm presence of both of you. Thank you so much for doing such a brilliant job.

Curl up in a cozy room at this renovated mansion.. In Short
The small 39-room Casa Blanca Inn, built from a renovated Serf mansion, is one of the most charming hotels in Santa Cruz. Thirty-three rooms have ocean views. Uniquely-designed accommodations may feature period furniture including four-poster beds and antique dressers. All rooms are equipped with coffee makers, microwaves, refrigerator and cable television. Upgrading to a more expensive room can bring a fireplace, shared terrace, full kitchen or Jacuzzi tub.

Best food, best service, best setting. We have eaten at Casablanca many times over the years. We are puzzled how anyone can not

be delighted with the appetizers --try the calamari; and the entrees --try the Chicken Tarragon or poached salmon; and the desserts -- try the creme brullee or their speciality walnut-chocolate pie. We have always had friendly service; and the spectacular view is available from every table as the floor level is tiered. If you haven't eaten at "the Casa" you are missing a real treat!

FINE DINING!!!!!!!!!!!!. I am flabbergasted by the negative reviews of this fine restaurant....makes me wonder WHO exactly is reviewing????? I have been dining at Casablanca regularly since 1992....When visiting Santa Cruz from Tulsa, OK I usually ate at Casablanaca several times a week. I have typically had excellent service..... Not only have I always enjoyed the deliciously delectable cuisine, but been delighted by the elegant presentation. Since moving to Santa Cruz, Casablanca has continued to be my favorite place for special occasions such as my son's graduation celebration (June, 1996), a rehearsal dinner (June 2006), many Mother's Days, Thanksgivings, Easters, New Year's Eves. Whenever I have guests in town, Casablanca is the place I choose for fine dining! The food is the number one reason with the fabulous view being the "icing on the cake"

SLOW SLOW SLOW. Exceptionaly slow service when the restaurant is 80 percent empty. Waiters dissappear and offer no explanation for the poor service. But they are certainly attentive when they bring the bill. Food is nothing to write home about. A great view DOES NOT make up for poor service and bland food. I wonder if Casablanca reads these reviews? We are trying to tell you something.

Will NOT go here again!. My boyfreind and I went to this restaurant based on the high rating it had. Got there around 7pm.It was very nice inside, great view, but that's it. We were promptly seated, but took almost half an hour to get a glass of water, longer for my wine. Waiter was nice, not very apologetic for the waiting time! It took another half hour to get our food, now 8:15. 4 people next to us also were waiting a long time for their order. We finally asked what the holp up was and was told they were short a waiter and a cook. Food and cost of dinner not worth the wait.

not worth your $$$. The food was really uniteresting, without much favor. Service less than average. It's a little over-advertised place but it does have nice view.

Not what I expected. Over the years I've heard so many wonderful reviews of this restaurant, so I was suprisingly disappointed my first and only time there. Our waiter was friendly but hard to find once he brought us our bottle of wine. Then after about 35 minutes of waiting for our entree, he comes to our table red-faced and stammering, asking us what we ordered. Said he entered our order in the computer but must not somehow it got erased/lost......? Finally got our dinner and really looking forward to it after the long wait, but was extremely disappointed. Unflavorful and almost cold. Took forever to get our check as well, eventhough there were maybe 5 other occupied tables. Very disappointed to say the least.

Such a great place!. Totally the best dining atmosphere I have been to. Everything was perfect, from the food to the service. And the view was to die for. Thanks Casablanca for making my anniversary so special. I will be sure to come back again and again.
