Super Funny Gift Items, Instyle Jewelry and Clothing at College students Buget. Velvet Underground is a small localy owned gift and missys apparel store located at the clock tower end of Pacific Ave downtown Santa Cruz. I love going in there to get funny birthday or X-mas gifts. They always have something to make you laugh. Last year I got my mom for her big 50th b-day this great set of b-day balloons, party hats and party plates that said Happy F@%&*$!^ Birthday. My mom and her friends thought that it was super funny. VU always has a great selection of T-party yoga pants in many styles and colors. Also they just started carrying Jrs. Plus size clothing which is great because there really isn't any place in Santa Cruz that carries cute plus size youthful clothing. They must have a new buyer because the selection of clothing and jewelry has really steped up. There is alot more cute, trendy jewelry, clothing, and purses then a few years back. If you are ever in Santa Cruz this is a store you should really check out.
