Forget the updating. It is nice to be in a place that has a sense of the past. Let it be what it is! I have been there a number of times and my guests have always enjoyed the food and the view. In a day of cookie cutter chains its fun to go to a place that does remain unchanged.

You people are NUTS. Can't beat a nice basket of calmari and chips from the fish counter while visiting "Woodies on the Wharf" or a HUGE shrimp louie while watching the sunset with someone.

Don't waste your time at this restaurant!. We took a large birthday party (22 people). The restaurant was very noisy with a bar attached to the eating facility. Loud, drunk patrons. Sent 4 meals back because they were not edible. I ordered halibut, which was brought to the table luke-warm and soggy. 80% of the meals were not good. We paid the $453 bill with disdain. The place needs updating.

We will not waste our time going back., and we live locally.

Could Not Manage To Get Us Seated/Poor Management. When we arrived for a romantic dinner to watch the sunset, we were told it would be 10-15 minutes. We sat outside and enjoyed a drink overlooking the water. We watched a table of two finish their meal and we were told we were next. The two ladies at the table after they appeared to finish their meal, proceded to go outside and have a couple of cigarettes and take pictures while still leaving their purses on the table. We aked the waitress/hostess whom we gave our name to and she said she would find out what was going on. By this time there were quite a few people waiting to be seated. Instead, their waiter went outside, took a drink order and served them drinks while their table inside had dirty dishes. A busboy came along and cleared the table only to be reprimanded by the waiter who said they were not finished. They were out there about 20 minutes by now. We were now waiting a total of one hour!

I again spoke to the waitress/hostess who did nothing. I found what appeared to be a manager who heard my story which was basically confirmed by the bartender. The waiter started to argue with the manager.

I was disappoined, told the manager we were done. We don't know if the food was good, The manager would not let us pay for our drinks.

We ended up going a couple of doors down to the Miramar where we were seated immediately and enjoyed a wonderful meal by an attentive waitress. BTW, We left them a nice tip for taking such good care of us.

There is no reason to put up with poor management of a restaurant when there are so many choices to get a good meal and spend our money.

Editorial Review. Seafood restaurant on the wharf features 20 types of fresh seafood and an upper deck lounge with ocean views.
