excellent. we didn't have reservations so we went for the first-come, first-serve seating in the lounge and had the pleasure of sitting in front of the station where chef nico worked.. watching him work was more than enough entertainment. our food was excellent-- places that cost twice as much didn't taste half as good.. view of the river behind the restaurant and the antique elevator were icing on the cake. this is the only restaurant where i've actually wanted to go home and post a review on the 'net after eating there. highly recommended!

Craving More!. Last year my fiance's birthday rolled around and caught me by suprise! Not wanting this to get in the way of her special day, I had to move fast! I had always wanted to visit Shadowbrook and couldn't think of a better time to do so. I will just say the both she and I were literally breathless from the moment we arrived....absolutely everything was PERFECT! From the trolley ride down to the bar, to the escort to our table. Not to mention the outstanding service...and the food! The best either of us had ever had! Thanks for the memories....we will DEFINATELY BE BACK!!!

Special place. I went her for my anniversary, and it just made it 10 times more special.. the food was great, service was great.. You have to leave room for the Sample plate desert! Yummmy... :)

Fabulous atmosphere!. One of the most beautiful dining spots in Northern California, creekside setting just a couple of blocks from Capitola beach on Monterey Bay. Gorgeous bar, great food and wine list. Excellent service.
