Editorial Review for The King's Head Pub & Restaurant – by Jim Harrington
In Short
The crowd is comprised of the hardest of the hard-core U.K. crew--this place is for people who actually know what haggis is. Try the bangers and mash (homemade British sausage, charbroiled and served with creamy mashed potatoes, fried onion, peas and gravy); sausage roll (homemade sausage meat wrapped in puff pastry and baked to perfection), chips and Heinz baked beans; and banger supreme (British sausage and fried onions in a steak roll).

Insider Tips
When to GoIn the afternoon, traditional Irish country dance classes are taught here. If you don't want to dance, just listen to the acoustic Celtic music played by a live band.

The food is OK. If you ate here and believed that British food is bland and not that great then you'd probably think this place is authentic - it's not. They serve food you might find in a pub in England but that's where the comparison ends. I found the food to be bland and a little overpriced. The best thing we had was the calamari and my Boddingtons. The service was pretty good. The waitress was friendly although not as attentive as I would have liked. The atmosphere is British pub meets American bar. It's an OK place for kids (they have a decent kid's menu) if you don't mind the pub atmosphere (I don't). Parking is OK but I'm going to guess it's busy on weekend nights

Agreed this is the first draft, and I only have 150 words, but I went to King's Head tonight with my lady and her friend. I ordered a PORTERHOUSE steak and I found a NEW YORK (a whole hour after I ordered!) on my plate. I complained after eating about 1/4 of it realizing it was not a porterhouse. They would NOT replace it with what I ordered. The waitress knew what I ordered and tried to help me to no avail. The bill came and the NEW YORK was on the bill. I complained some more and eventually was in a verbal argument with a random person? He turned out to be the OWNER accusing me of ripping them and the soldiers off. Tell me, how can I rip off anyone if I dont get what I ordered. Im upset with the owner but I did get $15 back.
Pros: Music, Fun Crowd, Food
Cons: Bad Attitude of Owner, Bad Management , Length to get food
